A 38-year-old BSF jawan, Ratan Lal Singh, was shot dead by his colleague in West Bengal’s Murshidabad area. The accused, BSF personnel F.K. Mishra, fired 13 rounds from his INSAS rifle following an altercation. The incident occurred in a violence-hit area where BSF was deployed after recent unrest. Mishra has been arrested by Jangipur Police District, and the weapon has been seized by Shamshetganj Police Station.
