A shocking incident is reported from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, where local BJP leader Mahendra Nagar is the main accused in the brutal murder of a farmer, Ramswaroop Nagar, over a land dispute. The victim’s daughter described the horror, stating ‘I was going to save my father, then he sat on top of me and scuffled with me… he tore my clothes’. The farmer was reportedly beaten with rods and sticks by a group of about 15 people and then run over with a jeep. When his wife and daughters tried to intervene, they were also allegedly assaulted and their clothes were torn. The incident occurred in Ganeshpura village over a six-bigha plot of land. Police have filed an FIR against Mahendra Nagar, who is a local functionary in the BJP’s Kisan Morcha, and others involved in the attack.
