🚨 Breaking Footage: An Air India Airbus A320 operating Flight AI‑2744 from Kochi to Mumbai veered off the runway during Monday’s heavy rainfall at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The aircraft briefly left the paved surface during touchdown, bursting three tyres, suffering engine damage, and causing minor runway damage, according to airport sources.
Despite the dramatic incident, all passengers and crew deplaned safely with no reported injuries. The aircraft was later towed to the terminal, but has been grounded pending further technical inspections, as confirmed by Air India and airport officials. Mumbai operations have temporarily shifted to the secondary runway to minimize flight disruptions.
