Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Lebanon have been overshadowed by the ongoing war between Iran, Israel, and associated groups that erupted during Ramazan. While Eid is being celebrated across Gulf nations, Lebanese residents have decided not to observe any festivities this year. Reporting from central Beirut, the correspondent highlights a building bombed on Wednesday, along with six other structures targeted in areas not considered Hezbollah strongholds. The strikes killed 20 people in central Beirut alone. The war has claimed over 900 lives so far, with more than 2,000 injured. The most devastating impact is the displacement of over 1 million people, who are either in shelter homes or on roadsides across Beirut. The visible signs of destruction extend beyond Beirut, particularly affecting southern parts of Lebanon, leaving communities in mourning rather than celebration during what should be a festive occasion.
