Dr Suhrita Paul, the principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, was sacked on Wednesday within 10 days of her appointment. The West Bengal government took the decision after students pressed for the demand to remove those on administrative duty when the hospital was vandalised in the early hours of August 15.
