India Today’s Tapas Sengupta reports from Kolkata, where the Hindu Jagran Manch organized a massive rally from Sealdah to the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission. The protest, following a similar demonstration yesterday, condemns the brutal murder of Dipu Das and alleged atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Protesters, including saints, carried an effigy of Muhammad Yunus and demanded an Indian boycott of Bangladeshi goods. One protester stated, ‘Humanity has been killed. Our brother, Sanatani brother, Deepu, he has been brutally murdered.’ Police barricaded the high-security zone, preventing the march from reaching the commission gates.
