Parents of the RG Kaur victim have filed a written complaint against Kolkata police. The complaint alleges that police personnel attacked the victim’s mother while they were protesting on August 9. The mother claimed, "Kolkata Police attacked me because I demanded justice for my daughter. They hit me on my forehead, and they broke my bangles. Police slammed me to the ground and assaulted me." She was taken to a private hospital in Kolkata for observation after sustaining injuries. This incident occurred a year after the rape and murder case in Kolkata. The victim’s father mailed the complaint to the Kolkata Police Commissioner and other officials, requesting an FIR. Kolkata Police sources indicate a general diary has been registered based on the complaint. An inquiry is being conducted, and an FIR will be registered following its completion.
