Kolkata Horror Updates LIVE: CBI Heat On Sandip Ghosh & Aides In RG Kar Hospital Case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, and his aides in connection with a series of alleged financial irregularities and a tragic incident involving the rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee woman doctor.
The CBI has registered a corruption case against Dr. Ghosh and others, accusing them of financial misconduct during his tenure at the hospital. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also launched a money laundering probe into the matter, based on the CBI’s findings.
The incident that triggered the investigation was the alleged rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee woman doctor at the hospital on August 9. The CBI has been questioning Dr. Ghosh and other hospital staff members, and has also conducted polygraph tests on several individuals involved in the case.
The investigation has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of medical students and staff at the hospital, and has led to calls for reforms in the healthcare system.
