Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad alleges that the Enforcement Directorate’s actions against political consultancy IPAC are a politically motivated attempt by the BJP to derail the TMC’s election campaign in West Bengal. Azad claims the raid was a pretext to access sensitive election data, stating, ‘simple reason BJP in their internal survey has found out that they’re not winning more than 25 seats and hence they want to win by hook or by crook.’ He defended party chief Mamata Banerjee’s actions during the raid and accused the central government of hypocrisy, questioning why investigations against figures like Ajit Pawar and Hemant Biswa Sarma were seemingly dropped after they allied with the BJP. Azad asserted that such actions have only strengthened the TMC’s resolve.
