Key changes include provisions for women’s representation, updating Waqf property records, streamlining dispute resolution, and bringing transparency, efficiency, and development in Waqf property management. The bills propose unified management, increased revenue generation, and the removal of Section 40, which was often misused to declare properties as Waqf. A three-member tribunal is introduced for faster case disposal, and the Limitation Act is applied to Waqf property claims. The government emphasizes that the focus is on property management, not interference in religious practices.
