In an exclusive interview with India Today at a Buddhist monastery in Tawang, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the upcoming second part of the budget session. Rijiju criticised Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, stating, ‘It is only Rahul Gandhi who just doesn’t understand rules, who doesn’t follow the norms.’ He alleged that Gandhi is influenced by NGOs working against India’s national interest and described him as ‘the most dangerous person right now to harm the national interest’ due to the impact of his statements. Rijiju also defended Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri regarding the Epstein files, asserting that Puri’s past diplomatic exchanges were in India’s interest. Regarding the India-US trade deal, Rijiju dismissed opposition concerns about farmer interests, stating that no section of society has been compromised under Prime Minister Modi’s tenure. He concluded by warning that the government would transit parliamentary business even if the opposition continued to obstruct proceedings, noting that many smaller parties are upset with Gandhi’s style of functioning.
