Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju reacted in Delhi to the Lok Sabha Speaker’s warning related to the Prime Minister’s safety inside Parliament.
Rijiju strongly criticised the behaviour of Congress MPs in the Speaker’s chamber. He said Parliament is not a place for “gundagardi” and accused Congress of trying to disrupt the functioning of the House.
He added that the government wants Parliament to run smoothly, but repeated disruptions only harm other MPs and the people of the country.
