The Waqf Amendment Bill has undergone extensive consultations, receiving over 9.7 lakh submissions including online, physical memorandums, and suggestions. 184 delegations from various stakeholders presented their views to the joint committee of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. 25 state governments and union territories submitted their inputs. The speaker emphasized that this level of consultation is unprecedented in India’s parliamentary history for any bill.
