The capital city of Delhi saw rallies in Jor Bagh, while in Uttar Pradesh, Shia communities mobilized across the state to voice their opposition to the strikes. Bihar witnessed large protest marches, and in Madhya Pradesh, the All India Shia Council led demonstrations in Bhopal.
In Maharashtra, Shia Muslims rallied in Mumbai’s Govandi area, while in Telangana, Hyderabad saw mourning and protests by the Shia community. Karnataka reported marches and vigils as Shia communities expressed grief over the loss of Iran’s leader.
In Leh, Ladakh, a mourning procession was held, reflecting widespread grief and solidarity among Shia communities across the country. These protests highlight the deep emotional response and political sensitivities following the escalation of US-Israel strikes in Iran.
