Accused of theft and branded a ‘Bangladeshi’, Narayanan was beaten to death. Palakkad District Police Chief Ajit Kumar confirms, ‘One murder case has been registered and five persons have been arrested.’ He adds that ‘legal action will be taken’ against more accused involved. The CPIM has blamed the RSS for spreading hate, while the victim’s family demands justice before accepting his remains.
