As anger rises over a string of reported kidnappings of government opponents, rights groups say dozens of protestors have been arrested in Kenya during widespread skirmishes between police and demonstrators.
Kenyan President William Ruto, who at first referred to the disappearances as "fake news," appears to have retreated from his earlier vow to terminate the kidnappings over the weekend.
