Rajkot, Gujarat: AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal spoke at a press conference and said:
“We all saw the dictatorship of the Gujarat BJP government today. I was not allowed to meet the farmers who are in jail. The people kept in Rajkot jail are normal farmers, not criminals. Gujarat is a farming state where about 54 lakh people depend on agriculture.
These farmers were peacefully protesting for their rights, but they were forcibly arrested. The Gujarat Police arrested 88 farmers on false charges. Out of them, 42 have got bail, but the rest are still in jail and suffering.”
