Jammu Kashmir News | A gunbattle is in progress in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, which started after security forces intercepted a fresh group of infiltrators.
The encounter started when security forces launched a search operation in Sanyal village near the International Border in Hiranagar sector following information about the presence of suspected terrorists in the area, the officials said.
They said reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and further details are awaited.
Jammu has been witnessing a series of infiltrations by terrorists lately. On March 17, an encounter took place between terrorists and security forces in Kupwara district, in which a Pakistani terrorist died.
