Fresh snowfall in upper reaches of Kashmir valley has led to a significant drop in temperatures. Srinagar recorded minus three degrees, while Shopia in South Kashmir touched minus seven. The cold wave has resulted in freezing of water sources, causing problems with drinking water supply in remote areas. The Met Department forecasts no further snowfall but warns of intensifying cold wave across the valley and northern India.
