The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency has reopened the 35-year-old murder case of Nurse Sarala Bhatt, a Kashmiri Pandit. This investigation is part of a broader initiative to address unresolved cases from the early 1990s. Sarala Bhatt, 27, was abducted and killed in April 1990, with her body found bullet-ridden. An FIR was filed at the time, but the investigation stalled for decades. The SIA launched raids across eight locations in Srinagar, including the residence of jailed Yasin Malik, a former operative of the proscribed Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. The raids also targeted other ex-commanders of the JKLF. The reopening of the case follows the LG administration’s efforts to provide justice to terror victims and reopen targeted killing cases of Kashmiri Pandits. "Justice delayed but not denied in case of late Shahid Sarala but." The move brings renewed hope for justice for the Kashmiri Pandit community. #kashmiripandit #saralabhatt #murdercase #itwebvideos #indiatoday #kashmir #investigation #sia #jammuandkashmir #srinagar #yasinmalik #jklf #terrorism #justice #targetedkillings #nurse #ethniccleansing #exodus #militancy #raids #hopeforjustice #kashmirfiles
