For centuries, locals have known Zehanpora mounds through mythical stories and superstition associated with the site. But when archaeologists started digging, it has revealed 2000 year old history. Kashmirs Buddhist past and its confluence of civilisations. Prime Minister has recently termed the discovery a proud moment for the country.
