EPS blamed the DMK government for failing to anticipate the massive crowd and pointed out contradictions between the Chief Minister’s and police’s statements. Stalin, in response, defended his government, alleging that TVK chief Vijay arrived seven hours late for the event despite police advisories to halt the convoy when the situation worsened.
