Karnataka is boosting fish supply by stocking 4.5 crore fish fry in 38 reservoirs. This initiative supports local aquaculture, farmers, and consumer demand. The state provides subsidies to registered fish farmers for rearing fish in their ponds. Discussions are also underway to establish a new fish fingerling production center near Yagachi reservoir.
