Karnataka slashes power tariff by 10 paise/unit, hikes fixed charges by Rs 25 from April 1

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) reduced electricity tariff by 10 paise per unit while increasing fixed charges by Rs 25 on monthly bills from April 1. The new tariff structure will marginally reduce energy bills but increase overall costs for consumers. Commercial electricity tariffs also saw a reduction while fixed charges for HT consumers remain unchanged.
