In Karnataka, a Hindu man has alleged that he was forced to convert to Islam by his Muslim wife’s family following their marriage in November of the previous year. He claims he was compelled to perform Islamic rituals, and the family would check if he was offering daily namaz. According to the man’s statement, he was also threatened with a rape case if he did not comply. "He was threatened that there would be a rape case filed against him by the Muslim girls family." This new complaint follows a statement he gave to the Betgiri police on 23/5/2025, in which he said, on video and in writing, that he had no marital issues. The police are now investigating these new allegations to determine the facts of the case.
