Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that he did not come to Delhi for politics. He said he came only to meet Union Ministers to discuss issues related to his state, such as irrigation and urban development. He added that he does not want to comment on other political matters right now.
Speaking on the VB–GRAM G Bill, he said this move marks the beginning of the end of the scheme. He claimed that by changing Mahatma Gandhi’s name, the government is trying to destroy the programme. He also said that no state, including BJP-ruled states, can provide a 40% share, and because of this, the scheme will fail in the future.
