The CID has initiated a preliminary investigation into alleged honey trap attempts targeting Karnataka’s Cooperation Minister K.N. Rajanna. Rajanna claimed in the state assembly that he was targeted twice and alleged that 48 other politicians across Karnataka and the country were victims of similar attempts. CID officials have visited Rajanna’s residence and gathered information from household staff. The probe was ordered by Home Minister G Parmeshwar Ra following Rajanna’s detailed report.
