A tragic stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium during an RCB victory celebration event resulted in 11 deaths and 33 injuries. The Chief Minister of Karnataka announced ₹10 lakh compensation for each deceased victim’s family and free treatment for the injured. The incident occurred due to an unexpected turnout of 2-3 lakh people at a venue meant for 35,000. A magistrate inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident.
