Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, returned to India Today more than a decade after his first appearance in 2013 when he was a 24-year-old Executive Director.
Speaking about the Adani Group’s massive expansion, Karan explained that growth was never the primary objective. He said the focus was on helping India reduce logistics and power costs. The group operates across three main verticals: energy, which includes transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable sources; ports and logistics, encompassing airports and transport networks aimed at reducing India’s logistics costs; and materials and science, covering cement, aluminum, copper, and defense.
