A blast involving two parked scooters has occurred on Kanpur’s Mestern Road, injuring eight people. Six individuals are reported to be seriously injured, with four referred to Lucknow PGI for major burns. According to Kanpur’s Police Commissioner, Raghuveer Lal, two others with minor injuries were discharged. Police and forensic teams have cordoned off the area, with the UP ATS and an NIA team from Lucknow joining the investigation. While authorities are probing if the explosion was accidental or deliberate, a correspondent at the scene confirmed, "one thing is confirmed that there were explosives which were present inside the 2 Wheelers".
