Kannada filmmaker Hemant has been arrested and sent to judicial custody following a sexual harassment complaint by a reality show winner. The actor alleged she was lured with a lead role in a movie and then sexually harassed in Mumbai in 2022-2023. According to the complaint filed at Rajarajinagar police station in Bengaluru, the filmmaker groped and molested her, and also demanded sexual favours. When she refused, the filmmaker allegedly threatened her, with the survivor stating, "he threatened her saying that you will be assaulted using rowdies." The complaint further details that he continuously tried to harass her and take advantage of his authority. The police arrested Hemant after an FIR was registered, and the actor has reportedly submitted technical evidence, including chats, to support her claims. As of now, only the one actor has come forward with allegations.
