The BRS has termed the move as hypocritical, highlighting that the Congress party consistently questions the CBI’s credibility, suggesting a political nexus between the Congress and BJP in Telangana. A Congress representative defended the decision, stating, "we are keeping a test for the CBI and for the Bharatiya Janata Party to prove their sanctity." The BRS also challenges the corruption figures cited and claims the actual damage to the project is minimal and repairable.
