K C Venugopal addressed allegations made by Rahul Gandhi regarding collusion between the left and the BJP in Kerala. When asked about CPM being a Congress ally at the centre, Venugopal said, ‘Kerala’s CPM is entirely different. This is not a labour party. This is not a socialist party. This is not a communist party. This has now become a corporate party.’ He claimed the party is protecting corporate interests. Responding to CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan’s statement that Congress is the B team of BJP, Venugopal dismissed it, saying people of Kerala know how Rahul Gandhi is fighting against Modi. He questioned the credibility of such claims, asking who would believe that Congress and Rahul Gandhi are agents of the BJP.
