The government is preparing to initiate impeachment proceedings against a judge involved in a cash haul case. The motion is expected to be brought in the July monsoon session of Parliament. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju will consult with opposition parties to build consensus, as a two-thirds majority is required in both houses. High-level meetings have taken place, including discussions between Home Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
