A controversy has erupted in Jharkhand after Health Minister Irfan Ansari’s son, Krish Ansari, filmed a reel inside a hospital which was later posted on social media. The video showed him appearing to ‘inspect’ the facility and interacting with patients, which has led to accusations of breaching patient privacy and misusing power. The minister has defended his son, describing the visit as a humanitarian act to help his teacher’s ailing mother and some tribal patients. While defending the motive, Irfan Ansari admitted making the video was a mistake for which he has scolded his son. In the transcript, he is quoted as saying, "…video banana Jo Ki patient privacy ko breach karta hai…galati kar diya…Maine usko dant lagaya phatkar lagaya hai." The BJP has seized on the incident, criticizing the India bloc for nepotism.
