A tragic incident occurred during Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in Hyderabad. Five individuals lost their lives due to electrocution. Four others are reported to be in critical condition and are currently undergoing treatment. The mishap took place in Ramankapur, specifically Gokul Nagar, during a shobha yatra of Lord Krishna. A chariot came into contact with overhead electric wires, leading to the fatalities. The deceased have been identified as Shri Krishna (21), Shrikanth Reddy (35), Suresh (34), Rudra Vikas (39), and Rajendra Reddy (45). Reports indicate that security personnel of Union Minister Kishan Reddy also sustained injuries while off-duty during the procession. Working president KTR expressed condolences, stating, ‘this is very saddening’. He also requested the state government to provide proper treatment to those injured in the incident.
