Heavy rainfall has caused a severe flood-like situation across the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir. For over 12 hours, incessant rains have led to rivers like the Tavi and Uj flowing over the danger mark. The resulting floods have inundated residential areas and submerged vehicles, including in the parking lot of the Jammu railway station. A cloudburst in the Doda district triggered flash floods, and landslides have shut down the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Authorities report four people have been killed in various flood-related incidents. According to sources, "rains like these were witnessed more than, you know, 90 years ago in Jammu city."
