The surge in the Tawi River’s water level has led to damage on the Forth Tawi Bridge and inundated several residential areas. A major landslide near Adhkumari in the holy town of Katra has resulted in a significant loss of life. According to the report, the "Death toll has mounted to 31 while 23 others have been injured." The severe weather has disrupted major transport links, including the Jammu-Srinagar and Jammu-Pathan Kot National Highways, due to landslides and shooting stones. Northern Railways has cancelled 22 trains and terminated 27 others.
