Security forces in Srinagar exchanged fire with terrorists in the Khanyaar area on Saturday morning. The operation was launched after gunshots were heard in the area. At least two to three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants are believed to be hiding in the area, including a top non-local commander. The operation is ongoing in the congested locality of Old Srinagar City. Another operation took place in South Kashmir where two non-local militants were killed. The situation remains tense as security forces continue their operations.
