In a candid conversation, she details her remarkable journey as a self-described ‘analog astronaut’, undertaking rigorous training that simulates off-world conditions. This included an 11-day isolation mission in Poland and exploring Martian-like terrains in Iceland, the same grounds where Apollo astronauts once trained. Inspired by Indian space heroes Rakesh Sharma and Kalpana Chawla, she has proactively pursued her dream through various international programs, including discovering a provisional asteroid via a NASA citizen scientist project.
