Jaguar Aircraft Crash: Third Incident In 2025, Two Pilots Killed In Rajasthan | India Today

A Jaguar deep penetration strike aircraft crashed near Churu in Rajasthan during a routine training mission, resulting in the deaths of both the pilot and co-pilot. This marks the third Jaguar crash in 2025, following incidents in Ambala in March and Jamnagar in April. The Indian Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry to determine the cause of the accident. The Jaguar, a twin-engine fighter aircraft inducted into the IAF in 1979, is known for its low-level, high-speed deep penetration capabilities. Despite its importance in India’s nuclear triad, the IAF is now the sole operator of these aging aircraft, as other countries have retired their Jaguar fleets.
