Italian Alpine Glaciers Melt Due To Warm Weather Despite Abundant Spring Snowfall | India Today
The first results of the end of summer alpine glaciers measurement are not as reassuring as hoped.
The Lombardy regional glaciology service assessed that the Dosdè eastern glacier, in the Italian Alps, retreated by 7 metres compared with last year, despite heavy snowfall of last April and May were fuelling hopes of a better protection against summer heat.
