The Indian space sector is booming and the charge is being led not just by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) but also by new-age space sector start-ups. The commercial arm of ISRO a company named New Space India Limited (NSIL) in five years has shown that its commercial revenue grew from Rs 350 crores to Rs 3000 crores. It today owns 11 communication satellites and is offering India’s rockets to the world market. The Indian space agency is known for its frugal innovations and cutting-edge technology is also a very safe harbour for investment. A new report suggests that for every rupee spent on the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the return on investment has been of the order of 2.54.
