The report, citing unnamed defence and intelligence officials, suggests that Israel did not tamper with pagers or mobile phones from Taiwan or Japan, but had actually manufactured them as part of a large-scale infiltration operation. The devices were supplied into Lebanon, possibly using artificial technology, logos and branding to mimic technology from Taiwan or Japan.
