Ashraf Wani reports from south Beirut, where Israeli Air Force strikes have completely damaged a building in what is described as a Hezbollah stronghold. The area, which was previously bombed by Israel in October-November last year before a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, is once again under intense bombardment. Following eight days of conflict involving Iran, America and Israel, residents have been forced to evacuate after the Israeli Defence Forces issued evacuation orders to thousands. Displaced residents are now sheltering in open fields and makeshift shelters wherever space is available. The reconstruction efforts that had begun after the previous ceasefire have been halted as the IDF continues its bombing campaign across south Beirut, with the entire area now largely vacated by its population.
