Israel is now striking sites in Yemen as of this afternoon. Addressing this development, Defence Minister Israel Katz said, “The IDF has now struck terror targets of the Houthi terror regime in the port of Hodeidah and is forcefully countering any attempt to restore the terror infrastructure previously attacked. As I have made clear, Yemen’s fate is the same as Tehran’s. The Houthis will pay a heavy price for launching missiles toward the State of Israel.”
Meanwhile, the IDF said the Houthi terror regime exploits the maritime area to exert force and conduct terror activities against passing and commercial ships in the global shipping space. The targets attacked illustrate the military use that the Houthi terror regime makes of civilian infrastructure for terror purposes.
The IDF will act with force against the repeated attacks by the Houthi terror regime against the citizens of the State of Israel and is determined to continue striking with force against any threat to the State of Israel, in any area where it is required.
