Israel’s Ministry of Defense announces the landing of the 200th aircraft in its operational airlift of military equipment and munitions as part of Operation Roaring Lion. Since the start of the operation, 200 aircraft and ships have arrived in Israel carrying approximately 8000 tons of military equipment, weaponry and munitions. Defence Minister Israel Katz and Israeli Ministry of Defense Director General Major General Amir Baram are overseeing efforts to expand Israel’s defence industrial base and accelerate production rates across Israeli defence industries. The air and sea bridge operations have been running continuously throughout the campaign, led by the Israeli Ministry of Defense Procurement Directorate through its International Shipping Division and the ministry’s missions to the United States and Germany, along with the Israeli Defence Forces Planning Directorate. The Israel Airport Authority and Israel Civil Aviation Authority are also partners in this operation, which supports the full range of the IDF’s needs and enhances readiness and stockpiles.
