India Today’s ground reports from Tel Aviv and Beirut reveal the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Reporting from Jerusalem, Shweta Singh notes that Israel remains unapologetic about its operations, with Israelis standing in solidarity with their government’s actions against Hezbollah and Iran. The Israeli president referenced the 2006 Lebanon war, which began with the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers allegedly planned by Ali Khamenei’s National Security Council head. From Beirut, Ashraf reports on day 19 of the conflict, describing Wednesday as particularly intense with 15 aerial strikes conducted by the IDF across the capital, including areas previously considered safe. Israel is targeting not only Hezbollah leaders but also IRGC commanders and leaders from Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Israel believes Hezbollah is at its weakest point due to Iran’s current situation and the regime change in Syria, which has disrupted the weapons supply route.
