US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claims American and Israeli air forces would gain complete control of Iranian airspace within a week. According to Hegseth, operations will run round the clock targeting Iran’s missile system, launch capabilities, silos, manufacturing facilities, remaining air defense infrastructure and military leadership, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. The US Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff said operations are shifting from large standoff strikes to more precise stand-in strikes, indicating closer proximity operations over Iran. The Israeli Air Force has struck defense and detection systems at Tehran’s Mehranabad airport, further degrading Iran’s air defense capabilities. Tehran warned it could target Israel’s embassies worldwide if Israel strikes the Iranian embassy in Beirut. Hegseth stated Iran will never possess a nuclear bomb and emphasised crushing the enemy before they can strike again.
