U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says Iran has launched a massive barrage of more than 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones in retaliation against ongoing U.S. and Israeli strikes, marking one of the largest salvoes in the current conflict. The unprecedented number of projectiles has forced Israel and Gulf states — including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain — to activate and heavily rely on their air defence systems to intercept incoming threats and protect territory and civilians.
